DPJ International is a UK-based garment supplier with a dedicated manufacturing operation in Mumbai.
We develop and manufacture men’s and ladies’ woven, jersey and embroidered garments for fashion brands and retailers. Our UK and Mumbai teams work together throughout the entire production journey, from initial product development and sampling through to manufacturing, quality control and final delivery.

Our story
Built for fashion
During our first year, we worked with external garment manufacturers to produce orders for our clients. However, we quickly found that relying on third-party factories often resulted in limited production visibility, slower communication and less control over manufacturing timelines and quality.
We wanted to offer our clients a better and more transparent way of working with the added benefit of removing the minimum order quantity dilemma.
DPJ International therefore established KAD Moda, its dedicated garment manufacturing operation in Mumbai.
Bringing production into the business gave us much greater control over the manufacturing process. It allowed our UK and Mumbai teams to communicate directly, follow orders more closely and respond quickly when decisions or adjustments were required.
Today, KAD Moda manufactures exclusively for DPJ International, while DPJ International places all of its garment production with KAD Moda.
This means our clients always know where their garments are being made, who is responsible for their production and how their orders are progressing.
How it works

Our UK office manages client relationships, product requirements, pricing, order coordination and day-to-day communication.
In Mumbai, the KAD Moda team manages garment development, sampling, sourcing, production, quality control, finishing and packing.
Both teams operate as one business, with shared responsibility for the quality, timing and successful delivery of every order.
Unlike businesses that place orders across a changing network of third-party factories, DPJ International has a dedicated and consistent production route. This gives us greater visibility and allows us to provide clients with clearer information throughout the manufacturing process.

We understand that modern fashion brands require flexibility.
Not every collection needs thousands of pieces, and many businesses need to test new products, introduce smaller seasonal drops or respond quickly to changing customer demand.
Our production model is therefore designed to support relatively low minimum order quantities, responsive sampling and efficient bulk manufacturing.
We work with established retailers, growing independent labels and businesses developing new garment categories. Our team takes the time to understand each client’s product, customer, price point and delivery requirements before production begins.

Quality and responsible production
Quality control is managed throughout the production process rather than being left until the garments are completed.
Our teams monitor fabric, garment construction, workmanship, measurements, finishing and packing at the relevant stages of development and manufacturing.
This allows potential issues to be identified earlier and corrected before they affect the wider order.
Our manufacturing operation also undergoes an annual Sedex four-pillar social compliance audit, covering labour standards, health and safety, environmental performance and business ethics.
